for the road warrior #traveltuesdays
We just got home from our first roadtrip with Mags (we went to visit my parents in Alabama). She was a champ and I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed the SYNC in our new Ford Escape. It made us feel that a cross country roadtrip is possible again. In 2008, Doug and I hit route 66 and traveled from Detroit to California. It was a drive of a lifetime. What has been your favorite roadtrip?

Two favorite trips–both with you!
1993 in England. You were just a little bit younger. Driving on the wrong side of the road on crooked little roads (not much bigger than one car width lanes)–and going in and out of the round-abouts.
2010 in Spain. Experiencing the white villages of Andalucia–the crooked narrow streets of Seville, Malaga, Ronda, Granada, Mojacar and Valencia–and driving up the beautiful Mediterranean coast of southeastern Spain.
And I would have to add two other trips (1996/2009) with your Mom up the Maine coast exploring lighthouses and quilt shops. Maybe your love for road trips might have something to do with a “family travel gene”.
